Mermaid Doll

I made a doll of the main mermaid character in my book, Forbidden Sea. Those of you who have read the book know that the picture the artist created for the cover of the book (though quite gorgeous) does not fit the description of what she looks like in the book. I thought it would be fun to create a doll of what I think she looks like and take it with me when I do signings. Unfortunately, photographing her is difficult because of the shiny dark green skin I used. It looks odd with a flash. She is much more beautiful than the photo makes her look. As soon as it stops snowing and some sunshine decides to come out, I'll get a better photo of her to share.
And yes, I braided every one of those green braids by hand, with a gold bead attached to the end of each one. It took more time to created the hair than it did to create all the rest of her together.
